Stella Anne Mary Farrell Pauley died on January 24 at the age of 86. She succumbed to an intracranial hemorrhage with family by her side. Stella died much as she had lived, quietly and gracefully, more concerned about others than herself. She leaves behind her husband of 65 years Tom, and her children; John, Catherine, Joseph, and Matthew, and their spouses, Joanne, Brian, Michele, and Kristy. In addition, her grandchildren; Anna, Michael, Thomas, Julia, Claire, Samantha, Jack, Shea, Matt, AJ and the spirit of Keira, as well as a great-grandson, Julian. Stella always gave more than she got as evidenced by her family, her nursing profes- sion, and her many friends. Stella enjoyed nothing more than the company of family and friends, a drink in the late afternoon, a casual meal, and a sunset on the deck. Her death leaves a hole in the hearts of those she loved and who loved her in return.
A Celebration of Life will occur in early July at Holy Family Catholic Church in Woodruff with a reception to follow.
