Chuck married Susan G. (Johnson) Lytle on May 29, 2004. He graduated from Northern Illinois University and taught 4th and 6th grades, then became a full-time firefighter with the Oak Brook, Illinois Fire Department for many years earning rank of fire Captain. Chuck was also an active member of the Presque Isle Fire Department for many years.
Chuck spent 20 years with the World Championship Musky Classic and loved fishing, snowmobiling and in his later years enjoyed genealogy and traveling to historical sites as part of his family search.
He is survived by his wife, Susan; stepsons, David (Aileen) Lytle and Jonathan (Thania) Lytle; grandchildren, Aiden, Elise, Madison and Charlotte; brother, Robert (Jo) Templin; and by other relatives and many dear friends. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents Vernon and Leah Rose Templin.
Cremation took place and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
Chuck’s family would like to thank the staff with Aspirus Hospice and the Seasons of Life Hospice House for their outstanding care.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Aspirus Hospice, Seasons of Life Hospice House and Presque Isle Fire Department.
