Stevan “Whitey” Ralph Wood
Stevan graduated in 1959 from Don Bosco High School in Milwaukee. He married the love of his life Julie Haller on October 14, 1967. Stevan worked for the Milwaukee Police Department for 33 years and served in the Army Reserves for 28 years. He was a member of the Lake Tomahawk Fire Department, NRA, the Northwoods Wildlife Center, and Holy Family Catholic Church.
Stevan enjoyed hunting, fishing, volunteering, taking care of wildlife, collecting war memorabilia and he took pride in protecting our planet. He loved spending time with his family.
Stevan was preceded in death by his wife Julie, parents, and brother George. He is survived by his daughter: Heather Keso; granddaughters: Coral Keso and Kayla Wood; great-grandchildren: Ariana and Amara VanVleet. He is also survived by his beloved pets: Kitty, Cinder, Ginger, Jacob, and Willow.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 26, 2022, at Nimsgern Funeral & Cremation Services in Woodruff. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. and go until the time of the service at noon. In lieu of flowers memorials in Stevan’s name to the Northwoods Wildlife Center would be appreciated by the family.
