James Joseph ‘Jim’ LaFrenier
James Joseph “Jim” LaFrenier, age 65, a long-time resident of Minocqua, Wisconsin, joined the Lord and passed away peacefully on November 16, 2022, at Marshfield Medical Center in Weston, Wisconsin. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Mary (O’Keefe) LaFrenier, and “Unc” Joseph O'Keefe who also raised him; sisters, Mary McMahon and Barb Neal; younger brother Thomas; brother-in-law, Steve Cotter. Survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Mary Fraune, and his faithful dog; brother Ken (Cheryl) LaFrenier of Connecticut; sister Jane Cotter of Alaska; "A brother from another mother," Frank (Tina) Neal of Wisconsin; nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Jim worked for LaFrenier and Sons for many years. He enjoyed the outdoors - fishing, hunting, camping, and canoeing and also loved to read and travel. Jim was a member of the Lake Tomahawk Bible Church. He enjoyed his retirement, visiting his friends for coffee and playing cribbage. Jim will be greatly missed.
