Voters show up in Minocqua

Poll worker Balie Strasburg assists Kathy Sellstrom as she checks in to vote for the spring election on Tuesday, April 7, in Minocqua. According to town secretary Lynn Wildes, a total of 1,455 people showed up to vote. She said that’s “a pretty good turn-out” for an election in April.

Indoor track finale

The Lakeland Union High School track and field team ended the indoor season with a distance meet. The Thunderbirds took part in the Point Indoor Distance Carnival Saturday at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. No team scores were kept at this event.
