Hazelhurst man wins state waterfowl stamp contest

Ritch Miller goes through his success this year, hunting history and love for art

The state Department of Natural Resources announced Sept. 1 the winners of the 2027 wild turkey, pheasant and waterfowl stamp design contest, one of which was a Hazelhurst man, Ritch Miller. Miller, 59, won the waterfowl stamp design with his depiction of a green winged teal stretching its leg along the shore of marshy wetland.
