Presque Isle will not raise its room tax

Town board agrees to table the discussion for now

The Presque Isle town board, at its Oct. 15 meeting, announced it had decided not to raise the room tax, which will remain at 4.5 percent. The decision comes after a special town board meeting was held on Oct. 13 with the accommodation committee and the Presque Isle Chamber of Commerce to discuss the possibility of raising the room tax.
