The Minocqua Hazelhurst Lake Tomahawk School (MHLT) board of education approved the creation of a new position during its meeting on March 23. Superintendent and principal Bob Smudde told the board the new class addition of Northwoods Way of Life has created a lot of excitement in and outside the school. Also, he said, he’s had an idea since first touring the school forest, a 40-acre chunk of land on the campus’s west side, “not being used to its full potential.”
