Jerome James Callaway

Jerome James Callaway, MD (Jerry), age 90, passed away at his home in Crete, Ill. July 20, 2026. He was born July 8, 1936 in Wadena, Minn. He received his bachelor’s degree in medicine from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Wash. He then graduated from Northwestern Medical School (NUMS) in Chicago with an MD degree. His further education took him to Cincinnati General Hospital for an internship and back to NUMS for residency and fellowships, obtaining Board Certification in both Internal and Pulmonary Medicine.
