Heading into a football season full of question marks in the Great Northern Conference, those who cover the league are putting their trust in a nearly perennial constant. Medford has been tabbed as the favorite to win the league in the annual GNC football media poll — a joint effort of the Northwoods River News (Rhinelander) and The Lakeland Times (Minocqua) that canvasses those who follow the conference on a regular basis.
