The Voicetrous Barred Owl
Back in late February as I was snowshoeing through a cedar swamp on a subzero morning, I happened to glance upward noticing a barred owl was gliding down towards my head on a direct path. On cold winter days I wear a hat made of otter fur due to the fact that it is the warmest head wear that I have. Well, he was on a mission that I really can’t blame him for. I quickly “ducked” my head as he soared by and sat up in a tree to get a better look at his potential quarry.
