LdF town board looking to wrap up fire station project

In April of 2023, voters in the town of Lac du Flambeau authorized construction of a new fire station and ambulance garage on State Highway 47 near the intersection with Raven Lake Road. The project, capped at $5.5 million, was scheduled for completion by September 2024. Although some fire department equipment was moved into the new building by spring, issues later prompted NASI Construction of Hurley, the primary contractor, to dismiss one of its subcontractors that year.
