Season review: Injuries hindered potential special LUHS football season
What started out as a historic opening to Lakeland football’s season, ended with a whimper as injuries piled up. The Thunderbirds went 5-5 on the season and finished tied for fourth out of eight teams in the Great Northern Conference with a 3-4 record. They averaged 21.9 points per game scored and 22.5 points per game allowed. They qualified for the playoffs for the sixth time since 2019.
