Road construction: Hwy. 51 lanes will be open for Memorial Day weekend

WisDOT: Current work phase is ‘very tedious’

U.S. Highway 51 traffic between Minocqua and Woodruff has been limited to one lane each direction for nearly a month, and to a layman’s eye, it may not look like much work has been completed. However, road crews from American Asphalt of Wisconsin have been working since April 30 to prepare the highway corridor for repaving in September.
