Wake ordinance stalls in Manitowish Waters
Despite majority support, board tables proposed one-year ban
An enhanced wake ordinance was tabled by the Manitowish Waters town board during its meeting on Tuesday, which followed a public hearing that was jam packed with people on the issue. Although the board postponed a decision on regulating boating equipment that artificially enhances wakes, town chairman John Hanson and town supervisor Lynn Schroeder indicated Tuesday they wanted to adopt an ordinance.
