District could go to referendum in 2026, but decision is complicated
The Lakeland Union High School (LUHS) board of education at a committee of the whole meeting Monday reviewed the progress of its facilities task team committee. What initially consisted of roughly 30 people from a variety of stakeholder groups, the committee was created in November of 2024 to review a report from Nexus Solutions — a company the district hired in 2023 to create a wide-ranging report examining the district’s facilities.
