The Howard Young Foundation donates $1 million to improve speech therapy for students
Funding will support 4 more therapists at consortium schools
The Howard Young Foundation (HYF) recently made a $1 million donation to Lakeland STAR School/Academy and the Lakeland consortium schools in order to hire four more speech therapists. Gregg Walker, Lakeland STAR School/Academy president and Lakeland Times publisher, highlighted the need for additional speech therapists in the area and the importance of the $1 million donation.
