Our Spot on the North Side
A simple stroke of my paddle broke the reflection of a million stars that illuminated the cold and calm October darkness. Nautical twilight was just beginning to show as we started the voyage to the north side of the lake. With a combination of hope and somewhat stubborn optimism, I coaxed some friends and family into joining me to welcome the start of a new day in the best way I know how — in the duck blind.
