Eagle River man charged with 1st degree sexual assault of a child

An Eagle River man made an initial appearance in Vilas County court on Dec. 2 for being charged with first degree child sexual assault of a child under 16. Shawn M. Briscoe, 37, Eagle River, was alleged to have sexually assaulted a child on various occasions with the use of threat or force and violence over the course of multiple years, according to the criminal complaint.
