Evidence re-submitted cause for optimism

Susan Poupart went missing in 1990, remains found months after in national forest

The Vilas County Sheriff’s Office has continued to work on a homicide investigation that’s been cold now for 35 years. Most recently, evidence has been resubmitted for DNA testing with a private firm with the hope that a different way of it being tested could finally bring justice for Susan “Suzy” Poupart, the Lac du Flambeau woman whose remains were found in the woods all those years ago, and her family.
