Ray Kennedy, a well-known guide, landed a 50-pound, 54-and-a-half-inch musky on Lake Minocqua Aug. 6, 1956. This was the largest musky caught on record from the chain at the time. Kurt Justice said this is the biggest musky he knows of from Lake Minocqua and the mount is on display in his sports shop. (Originally published Aug. 16, 1956, in the Lakeland Times)
