In February, 2011, Bennett Handrick, born at Howard Young Medical Center in September of 1991 and a graduate of Cannon Falls High School in Minnesota, shipped out for San Diego, Calif., and the Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) there where he would do his “boot camp,” or initial training, in the Marines.
