Enjoy the night sky, help wildlife
It seems pollution is always in the news these days — water pollution, air pollution and even noise pollution. But one type of pollution that has not gotten as much wide spread attention is light pollution. National Geographic defines light pollution as, “the excessive or poor use of artificial outdoor light, and it disrupts the natural patterns of wildlife, contributed to the increase in carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, disrupts human sleep, and obscures the stars in the night sky.”
