Mercer Lions Ice Fishing Jamboree

The Mercer Lions Ice Fishing Jamboree fundraiser was held on Saturday, Feb. 18, at the Community Center for the first time.  Lions chairpersons, Mike and Amy Burgess, felt that the community building offered participants better accommodations.  There were a lot of firsts this year as the fishermen could fish on three different lakes — Grand Portage (Tank), Echo, and Mercer — while in the past they only fished on Tank Lake.
