It's a big world after all
Usually by the month of August these ”little guys” are beginning to explore the world on their own. Physically their four chambered stomach is now quite fully developed, which in turn allows the fawns to feed on a more diverse variety of forage, which also means they are now becoming less dependent on the mothers nursing them on a more constant basis.
