Charlie Kaufman’s multiple dimensions of meta

Directed by Spike Jonze and written by Charlie Kaufman from a rather zig-zagged interpretation of “The Orchid Thief” by Susan Orlean, “Adaptation” was released in 2002 and was distributed by Columbia Pictures. It features performances from Nicolas Cage, Meryl Streep, Chris Cooper, Tilda Swinton, and Phil Cox.
