Lakeland boys’ hoops takes two of three in Marathon

It may be just the summer, but the Lakeland boys’ basketball team had a flair for the dramatic with two wins in Marathon Sunday morning.  First, the Thunderbirds beat Wisconsin Rapids by two points in a low-scoring game in the 30s. They also beat Owen-Withee on a game-winning free throw from Will Fortier. In their third and final game, Auburndale beat Lakeland 47-40.
