Overbey elected as Vilas County judge, Arbor Vitae town board has a female majority

Vilas County voters elected a second district court judge Tuesday. Daniel Overbey defeated his opponent, Meg O’Marro, 2,597 votes to 2,017 and will be sworn in as Vilas County’s second judge on Aug. 31.  Former Vilas County district attorney Martha Milanowski, who was appointed last year to fill out the term of long time Vilas County judge Neal Nielsen, was unopposed in the April 5 election.  There were other changes to Vilas county board seats and those of town boards in Oneida and Vilas counties in the The Lakeland Times regular coverage area.
