Bear Cupboard Run is Back!
5K, Saturday, June 26, at Torpy Park
The 12th Annual Bear Cupboard Run, Lakeland Pantry’s largest yearly fund raiser, will be held on Saturday morning, June 26 with race activities centered around Minocqua’s Torpy Park. Races feature a ½ marathon, 5k run/walk, and a fun “Cubby” run. The event, sponsored by the Pantry and the Firebird Foundation, draws together families, friends, and supporters from across the community, state and country as “Neighbors Helping Neighbors” to support two great causes. More than 2,700 families are served yearly by the Pantry and hundreds of students benefit from the Firebird Foundation. The two non-profit organizations have a shared vision for the Lakeland Community striving for proper nutrition and health through food, fitness and educational programs.
