Jennifer Andreas speaks about promising biological control for flowering rush
Jennifer Andreas of Washington State Extension created a presentation as part of the Upper Midwest Invasive Species Conference last spring that focused on flowering rush and possible biocontrol for this invasive species. These biocontrol measures, a fly, a weevil and a white smut, are still being studied to ensure they have no ill effects on non-target species, but they seem promising.
