The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources this week confirmed a wild deer in the Town of Lincoln tested positive for Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD). CWD is an always-fatal nervous system disease in cervids such as white-tailed deer, elk and mule deer. The disease is caused by a mis-shaped protein.
