Complementary football leads Thunderbirds to fifth win of the season
All three phases came together to help the Thunderbird football team snap its brief two-game losing streak last week. Lakeland beat Antigo 21-7 in a Great Northern Conference game on Friday, Oct. 3 in Antigo.

The Lakeland boys’ soccer team got back to full strength and inched closer to a conference title on Tuesday. The Thunderbirds beat Mosinee 6-0 at IncredibleBank Field in Minocqua. Lakeland scored twice in the first half and four times in the second half.
Lakeland volleyball overwhelmed by Mosinee
The Lakeland volleyball team couldn’t find any momentum against the top-ranked team in Division 2. Mosinee (7-0 GNC) beat the Thunderbirds (5-2 GNC) 3-0 (25-8, 25-15, 25-19) on Tuesday in Minocqua. The win gave Mosinee the No. 1 seed heading into tomorrow’s Great Northern Conference tournament in Eagle River.
