The Lakeland girls’ tennis team started to find their groove with a win and close match against Great Northern Conference opponents. First, the Thunderbirds beat Medford 4-3 on Wednesday. It was a make-up game after a rainout the day prior. Then on Thursday, Lakeland fell 4-3 to Wausau Newman.

The Lakeland cross country teams made their debut Thursday at Rhinelander High School. A number of Thunderbirds walked away with medals.
