Arthur Allen Portz

Arthur Allen Portz “Beaver,” 61, born February 4, 1965 in Woodruff, passed away September 7, 2026, at the Madison VA hospital from a short aggressive battle with cancer.

He was a Marine Corp veteran from 1983-1991. His passion was fishing and hunting in this community and Canada, part of the Leathernecks Marine Corp League Detachment 353, American Legion Post 89 and DAV. 

He was born to Arthur Robert Portz (deceased) and Annette Haslacher Konitz, he is survived by his wife Tracie Ann Portz, loving dog Marley, step sons Justin DeGolyer and Dylan (Madison) Fruh, granddaughters Roselyn DeGolyer, Quinn Fruh, sisters, Anne Portz and Angela (Eric) Schmidt, nieces and nephews, Katie Schmidt, Hunter Ludington, Zac (Lauren) Schmidt, Adam (Allison) Schmidt. 

Services will be held at the Northwoods National Cemetery October 9, 2026, at 10 a.m., immediately following is a potluck gathering at the American Legion Post 89 in Minocqua. Bring a dish if you wish.
