Ann R. Clarke

Ann R. Clarke, a strong, confident, loving Penn State football fan, has joined her parents Thomas and Jane Reeder, her sister Robbie, and niece Sheri. She is loved and missed by her husband Ron, her brother Tom, her sister Janie, her dozens of nieces and nephews that span three generations, and her lifelong friends. Ann loved to travel, exploring 49 states (planning on North Dakota), six continents (Africa was future), and working through the National Parks. She started life in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in 1953, with a career in banking and project management that took her to Maryland, where she met her husband on a blind date. They moved to Arbor Vitae in 2021 to be near Ron’s parents, where she adapted her love of gardening to a new climate. She was a great baker and planner, and her apple pies will be missed. She suffered a massive stroke on April 25, and passed peacefully on May 13 at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield. She plans to have her ashes form part of an artificial reef structure off Ocean City Maryland next year.
