Beverly J. Smith

Beverly J. Smith, 96, of Hazelhurst, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 11, 2026 at Careview Health and Rehabilitation in Minocqua.

Beverly was born on October 24, 1929 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Harry and Isabelle Wesenberg. She was an employee of Miller Brewing Company from 1951 to 1975 and a member of the Northwoods Women’s Club and American Legion Auxiliary Post 89 in Minocqua. Beverly is preceded in death by her husband, Dan Smith, and survived by five stepchildren, Brian, Debbie, Vincent, Victor and Jeffrey; nine grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

A memorial gathering will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, at Bolger Funeral Home, 1212 First Avenue, Woodruff.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Legion or a charity of your choice.
