Henry Schroedel Jr.

Henry Schroedel Jr., 93, of Minocqua, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Seasons of Life in Woodruff.

Henry was born on January 15, 1933, in Rosholt, to Lillian (née Kruzicki) and Henry Schroedel Sr.

Henry married Eleanor Gliniecki on April 20, 1953 at St. Adalbert’s Catholic Church in Rosholt. They shared 71 years of marriage before Eleanor’s passing on August 18, 2024. 

Henry worked for NCR for 32 years and retired in 1988.

Faith was always the cornerstone of Henry’s life. He served as parish council president, lector, eucharistic minister and in the choir on Sundays as well as a Grand Knight and Faithful Navigator in the Knights of Columbus.

Henry is survived by his son Michael (Lisa) Schroedel, Kronenwetter; daughter Geralyn (Jamie) Nimsgern, Minocqua; and his grandchildren Madalyn (Justin Datka), Alison, Thomas Schroedel, Christopher Coates and Justin (Meredith Davey) Nimsgern, Jennifer (Andy) Paris, Annika Nimsgern and Caitrin Nimsgern and by great-grandsons Jacob Matthew Schroedel and Beau Henry Larson and Enzo James Paris and his great-granddaughter Lainey Marie Paris. Henry is further survived by his sister Yvonne Leech, Racine and his brother John (Diane) Schroedel, Merrill and sisters-in-law Dorothy Barry of Weston, and Irene (Warren) Wagberg of Stephenson, Mich. and Agnes Gliniecki of Schofield, and by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Besides his parents and Eleanor Henry was preceded in death by his grandson Sam Czaplinski and his sisters Bernice (Franz) Stellmach, Rose Ann (Ernie) Kranski, Dorothy (Frank) Hladilek, Henrietta (Roman), Delores (Donald) Linzmeier, Elaine (Jack) Simmonds, his brother: Robert (Bernice) Schroedel; his brother-in-laws: Bob Leech and his sister-in-law: Mary Schroedel.

A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday May 19 at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church with visitation from 9:30 a.m. till time of service. Burial will take place at St. Patrick’s Cemetery followed by a luncheon at Nimsgern Funeral & Cremation Services Fellowship Hall.
