Betty Mae Jahnke

Betty Mae Jahnke, of Minocqua, passed away just one month short of her 95th birthday. Betty was born on August 1, 1931 in Appleton to Otto, Sr. and Idamay Jahnke.

She graduated from high school in Minocqua in 1949. As a young adult, she trained in the secretarial field and worked in the insurance industry. In 1962, she married William Krueger, as a young wife, started a life of adventure following the early computer industry moving to various Midwest cities and finally to San Francisco.

Being dedicated to prayer and healing, Betty pursued intensive training for a career as a Christian Science Practitioner. Using her Spiritual expertise with her passion for healthcare she held top supervisory positions at Christian Science facilities in the Midwest.

Betty was caregiver to both her mother Idamay, and her father Otto, Sr. until their deaths. During her retirement she pursued her love of gardening, bread making and became a profound knitter.

Betty Mae is preceded in death by her parents Idamay and Otto, Sr.; siblings, Phyllis J. Jahnke and Otto, Jr. Jahnke. Betty is survived by, and beloved Aunt to; Albert, Sandra, Karl, Joan and Carol and a guiding force in the lives of Sally and Jackie; best cat mom to Koko, her great joy in her twilight years. We take comfort in knowing that she is at peace and reunited with her loved ones who had passed away before her.

Services will be held on July 31, 2026 at Wisconsin Memorial Park Chapel of the Flowers in Brookfield at 2 p.m. Niche internment will be held at 3:30 p.m. followed by a luncheon in the Family Center. Bolger Funeral Home is assisting the family, www.bolgerfuneral.com for condolences.
