Theresa Carolyn Gauthier (Seebach)

Theresa Carolyn Gauthier (Seebach), 83, of Lac du Flambeau, passed peacefully on August 6, 2026.

Theresa was born November 17, 1942 in Dayton, Ohio to parents Marion and Ruth Seebach (Yocum).

Theresa graduated from Tippecanoe High School in 1961. Theresa went on to marry Lenard Lewis “Sonny” Gauthier on June 3, 1961. Theresa and Lenard met while Theresa and her family were vacationing at Lenard’s family’s resort in Lac du Flambeau. Theresa and Lenard had two children Brian Gauthier and Lisa Gauthier (Meyer). Theresa worked as a teacher’s aide at the Lac du Flambeau Public School for 28 years before retiring in 1998.

Theresa enjoyed gardening, reading, ceramics, sewing, watching Jeopardy, baking, antiquing and spending time with her family and friends.

Theresa is survived by her loving husband Lenard “Sonny” Gauthier; children Brian (Mary) Gauthier and Lisa (Patrick) Meyer; grandchildren Ryan (Megan Baca) Gauthier, Kalyn Gauthier, Ashley (Tim) Owens (Meyer), Carley Meyer; great-grandchildren Ryder Meyer, Kaydy Meyer, Reagan Gauthier, Finn Owens, Wila Gauthier, Spencer Smith IV, Larayna Smith; brother David Seebach and several nieces and nephews.

Theresa is preceded in death by her parents Marion and Ruth Seebach (Yocum); brother Allan “Buddy” Seebach and sister Sheila Harmony (Seebach).

Memorial Gathering for Theresa will be held on Thursday, August 13, at Nimsgern Funeral Home Chapel in Woodruff, from 10 a.m. until time of Memorial Service at 11 a.m.
