James “Jim” R. Bach, 74, of Tomahawk, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau. Jim was born on September 26, 1951, in Kenosha, to the late Charles and Theresa (Funk) Bach. He graduated from Racine Park High School in 1969. On February 5, 1972, he was united in marriage to Carol Williams.
Jim spent 27 years working as a meatcutter at Trig’s Grocery in Minocqua, retiring after many years of dedicated service.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Bach; his children, Joel (Heather) Bach, Sarah (Tim) Bowman, and Kathryn (Steve) Loka; his grandchildren, Gabriel, Calder, and Willow Bowman, Aidan and Jacob Bach, and Payton and Grant Loka; and his brothers, Jeff (Mechelle) Bach, John (Kim) Bach, and Peter (Mary) Bach. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Theresa; and his sister, Luanne Doucet.
To know Jim was to love him. He always had a story to tell or a dad joke lined up for you, because making people laugh was his love language. He loved life, spending time with family and friends, watching his grandchildren grow, cruising on the pontoon boat, playing poker with his brothers when golf wasn’t an option anymore, and watching any and all sports on TV. We were all so lucky to have him in our lives.
In accordance with wishes, no formal services will be held. Generations Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family. You may view Jim’s obituary and leave online condolences at generationsfuneral.com.
