Paul Vedder

Paul Vedder, 58, of Hazelhurst, passed away peacefully with loved ones by his side in Marshfield at 10:59 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a life fully and well lived. He was born on July 5, 1967, in Tomahawk to Dolores and the late Ronald Vedder.

Paul was united in marriage to the love of his life, Connie Vedder, on August 26, 1989. Their marriage was a true partnership built on love, loyalty, and unwavering devotion. Much like the song “She and I” by Alabama, their life together reflected a bond that stood strong through everything — side by side, always.

He is lovingly survived by his wife, Connie; his daughter, Sarah (Trevin) Martin; and his beloved granddaughters, Kaelyn and Kylie Martin, who were the absolute light of his life. He was the best dance and hockey grandpa, never missing a chance to cheer them on and share the moments that meant the most. He is also survived by his mother, Dolores Vedder, his siblings, Tim, Ronnie, Leo (Alicia), and Michelle as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Vedder.

Paul’s family was his whole world. He cherished every moment spent with them, especially his granddaughters, whom he adored and loved to spoil. He had a playful spirit and was a “big kid” at heart — always getting into mischief, always smiling, and always making others laugh.

He was the person you could count on, no matter what. Paul always answered the phone and was there without hesitation whether it was an emergency or you simply needed someone to talk to. His kindness and generosity knew no bounds, and his heart was as big as they come.

Paul had a deep love for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and found peace in the quiet beauty of nature such as feeding the deer, watching the birds, and simply being outside.

Paul will be deeply missed, more than words can ever express. His laughter, his voice on the other end of the phone, his steady presence, and the way he made everyone feel safe and loved will never be forgotten. Though he is no longer with us, the love he gave so freely will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

In accordance with Paul’s wishes, no services will be held. Paul wanted you to remember him as the Paul you knew and cheers a Kessler and Coke to him.

Until we meet again, Dad — your love is our guide, your memory our comfort, and you will be with us in every moment, always.
