Harold F. Eick, of Boulder Junction, formerly of Mequon, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, September 18, 2025. Harold was born December 19, 1931 in Milwaukee. Harold graduated from Shorewood High School after taking many shop and woodworking classes.
Harold met Joanne, the love of his life, while riding horses on the bridle trails in Milwaukee. They were married on January 22, 1955 and moved to Mequon, where they raised their three children in a home filled with fun, love and animals.
Over the years, Harold worked for several different businesses, two of which he owned with Joanne. When they moved to Boulder Junction, they started Goose Creek and made shaker furniture. There Harold crafted beautiful furniture and decorative items which were all painted and stained by Joanne.
Harold was always involved in his church. Harold was a man of faith and shared his faith with all those that he came in contact with. He served on the board of elders and was a youth group leader with Joanne. Some of the best times were when they invited the youth group to their home. They were “Mom and Dad” to all.
Harold was a loving dad, grandpa and great-grandpa. He most enjoyed spending time with his family, whether it was to work on a project, sit around the fire, play cards or just have coffee and talk. He loved to take his favorite dog on the daily walk with the dog walking group. This was one of his favorite times of the day. He enjoyed spending time working in his shop, making furniture for friends and family. He was Boulder Junction’s Santa for 27 years, bringing joy to the many children that came to see him at Christmas. This was one of the highlights of his life.
Harold was pre-deceased by his wife Joanne and is survived by children Kurt (Sally), Lori (Dale), Keith (Jodi); grandchildren Emily, Jessica, Andy (Krista), Luke, Kala, and Katie; great-granddaughter Isabella.
Funeral services will be held at the Community Church of Boulder Junction on Saturday, Sept. 27. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m., with the funeral service at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude will be appreciated. Bolger Cremation and Funeral Services is assisting the family, www.bolgerfuneral.com for condolences.
