John Edward “Dutchman” Snow Sr., 70 of Lac du Flambeau, passed away on Friday, November 7 at his residence.

He was born on October 10, 1955 in Woodruff, and married Anita “ Minnie” Vetterneck Snow on April 5, 1979, she survives. Dutchman served proudly in the US Marine Corps and was a laborer the majority of his life. He enjoyed hunting, gathering and most of all being with his family and loved ones.

Dutchman is survived by his wife Anita  Minnie” Snow and by his children Sheldon John Snow, David “Walker” Thomas Snow, Naomi Louise Snow, Lee Michael Snow, Cole Michael Snow, Max David Snow and John Edward Snow, Jr. and by grandchildren Sasha Snow, Donald Johnson Jr., Sheldon Snow Jr., Shelby Johnson, Sage Snow, Summer Snow, Lauren Johnson, Lee Johnson, Steven Johnson, Walker Johnson and John E. Snow, III and by great-grandchildren Benni Lee McGeshick, Remi Louise McGeshick and by his siblings Carol Snow, Agnes Jack, Anthony “Tony” Jack, Kenneth L. Jack Jr., Mary Beth Moore, Karen Casatillo and Sharon Yung and by other relatives Maelease Vetterneck, Fayne Vetterneck and Mary Fuller and too many more to mention.

Dutchman was preceded in death by his grandmother Louise (Snow) Wildcat, His mother Louise (Snow) Jack, his brother Donovan “Duck” Jack and Arthur Jack

Visitation for John was held on Tuesday, Nov. 11 at the Lac du Flambeau Bingo Hall. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Nov. 12 at the Bingo Hall.
