Geri Ziemba, beloved wife to Leonard “Len” J. Ziemba and mother of four passed away May 23, 2025, at Aspirus Woodruff Hospital at the young age of 67. She was born in Berwyn, Ill. to Charles and Mary Weldt.
Geri grew up in Brookfield, Ill. and graduated from Lyons Township High School in LaGrange, Ill. during which time she met the love of her life Leonard “Len” Ziemba. They were married on September 28, 1977. In 1989, the family moved to Lake Tomahawk, where they had a beautiful home and many beautiful memories. Geri was known for her spicy attitude, extreme love for her whole family, and spending as much time with them as she could.
Geri is survived by her loving husband Leonard J. Ziemba and her four children Jeffrey (Tricia) Ziemba, Mary (Keith) Kollath, Keri (Scott) Clarkson, and Thomas (Kayla) Ziemba, her seven grandchildren Tanner, Taylor (Brett), Kirsten, Jake, Chloe, Jackson, and Mallory, her brothers Charles (Susan) and Richard (Sue) Weldt and her sister Beth (Matt) Piasecki. Along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Geri was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Mary Weldt, her sisters Joan Morrison and Anita (Robert) Summers, and her twin brother Brian Weldt.
Geri will be cremated and laid to rest next to her sister at Wilderness Rest Cemetery in Lake Tomahawk. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
