Edward Dewey Trapp, Jr., 79, of Princeton, and formerly of Arbor Vitae, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2025 at Theda Care Regional Medical Center in Appleton. Ed was born on November 7, 1945 in Rhinelander, the son of Edward D. Sr. and Harriette (nee Harding) Trapp. He graduated from Lakeland Union High School in 1963. Ed served in the United States Army National Guard from 1966 to 1973. In 1966, he was united in marriage to Marsha Lally. Ed was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was instrumental in helping build the church and school. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors. Ed played softball with the Islanders for many years; earning the nickname “Boomer.” He will be remembered for his home runs in the many tournaments they won both locally and regionally.

Ed is preceded in death by his parents, Edward Sr. and Harriette Trapp and brother, Jim Trapp. He is survived by his wife, Marsha Trapp; sons, Timothy (Tricia) of Appleton, Thomas (Cindy) of Princeton, Jerome (Debra) of Ripon, and Joseph (Kelly) of Mesa, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Jack, Mark, Richard and Robert Trapp and sister, Jane Leisses.

Visitation will be held from 10 until 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 10, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Minocqua, followed by a Funeral Service at 11 a.m. A luncheon will be held at the church following the service. Interment will be at Cemetery of the Pines in Boulder Junction following the luncheon.
