It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Jill Ranae Bellomy, age 67. She was called home peacefully in the early hours of June 11, 2025, while surrounded by her family.
Jill was born on January 23, 1958 to Goebel and Katie (Flannery) Bellomy in Laona; she was the fourth of seven children.
The family moved from Crandon to Racine in October 1962. She attended school in Racine and flourished in her Junior and Senior High choral groups. Through her dedication in singing, she became a soloist. Jill was a very hard worker from a young age and carried that strong work ethic throughout the entirety of her life. Jill’s first marriage brought the arrival of her firstborn son, Joshua Sadlon. Jill later married Richard R. June in 1988. They lived together in Kenosha, raising Joshua and their two sons, Richard June and Jerod June. After relocating to Minocqua in 1997, they ran several businesses including JR Productions, then opened two clothing stores named “The Rack.” Jill and Richard divorced in 2007. However, Jill was compassionate and would assist him in his final year of life. Jill was known to have a quick wit, great sense of humor, and personality plus. Jill found contentment in crafting delicious dishes, savory or sweet. She will forever be remembered as a very kind and giving soul: loving, loyal, caring, and enduring. Jill found enjoyment by spending quality time with her family, whether that be eating together or simply speaking on the phone. She also established great memories with all her grandchildren that will be retained for a lifetime. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Jill is survived by her sons, Richard June and Jerod (Lillian) June; grandchildren Jordan (Kaleigh) Sadlon, Daniel Sadlon, Cole Christensen, and Emery Morris; sisters Sharon (Donald) Heck, Patricia Bukowiecki, Myrna Bellomy, and brother Jerry Bellomy, along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Goebel and Katie Bellomy, brothers Michael Bellomy and Goebel Bellomy, son Joshua Sadlon and grandson Brendan Sadlon, former husband Richard June, and dear friend Doris Vretfors.
Our family would like to thank the physicians and nurses at Aspirus Hospital (Wausau) Cardiac ICU and the Palliative Care Unit for their excellent and compassionate care of our mother Jill.
A visitation will be held at Weber-Hill & Packard Funeral Home in Crandon on Friday, June 27, 2025 beginning at 9 a.m., continuing until the time of services at noon. Jill will be laid to rest at the Town of Nashville Cemetery.
