Charles “Chuck” Hueckstaedt
Charles “Chuck” Hueckstaedt, 68, of Minocqua, passed away on January 10, 2025, at Howard Young Medical Center. Chuck was born on April 9, 1956, in Keeneyville, Ill., to LeRoy and Alice (Kostecki) Hueckstaedt.
Chuck spent most of his career as a self-employed contractor in northern Wisconsin. He was known for his attention to detail and craftsmanship in woodworking and was a friend to everyone he met.
He was a loving father to Amy Steffens of Arbor Vitae, and Lee Hueckstaedt of Brookfield. He is also survived by his siblings Raymound Hueckstaedt and Dawn Mocko, many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Anita Huckins.
Having a deep love of the outdoors, Chuck would often be found outside enjoying many hobbies like fishing, planting trees, and transplanting flowers. Over the years, he planted many trees along the shoreline of his property and enjoyed watching the abundance of wildlife that would gather in his yard.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 22, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m at Nimsgern Funeral Home in Woodruff.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
