Faith J. Kurth, 69, of Minocqua, died on Thursday, February 20, 2025 unexpectedly from medical complications related to COVID.
Faith was born on October 19, 1955, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Donald and Elizabeth (Landowski) Budnik.
She attended D.C. Everest High School where she graduated in 1973 and the State College of Beauty Culture. She maintained her hair cutting and styling skills throughout her life, cutting hair, giving perms and coloring hair for family.
On June 5, 1976, Faith was united in marriage to Aaron Kurth, at St. Florian Catholic Church, Hatley.
Faith had a variety of jobs throughout her life, most recently working at Burger King in Minocqua.
One of the great joys of Faith’s life was spending time with her grandchildren, buying them special presents and sending cards for every holiday, playing games with them, planning special adventures when she babysat, and baking treats just for them. She enjoyed bowling every Monday and playing cards with her friends, beating her husband and children at cribbage, cheering on the Brewers, and playing games on her tablet.
As a child she enjoyed growing up in her large family of siblings, cousins and nearby friends.
Faith is survived by her husband, Aaron; children, Amanda (Kory) Gilderman, Anna Kurth, Andrew (Katie Topinka) Kurth; grandchildren, Asher and Hailey Gilderman, and Josie and Otto Kurth; eight siblings, Jerome (Diane) Budnik, Jaqueline (Eugene) Geurink, Carol (William) Bublitz, Kevin (Denise) Budnik, Donald (Lynn) Budnik, Patti (Myron) Baumann, Elizabeth (Bryan) Benaszeski and Judith (Tim) Vreeland and brother-in-law Bill Szews; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Paula (Arden) Krueger, Linda (Tom) Jagodinski, Tim Kurth and Kay (Darrell) Ramthun.
Faith was preceded in death by her parents; her mother and father-in-law, Bernette and Henry Kurth; sister Madonna Szews; and nieces, Kimberly Marie Geurink and Courtney Jean Blarek.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 1 at Rock of Ages Lutheran Church in Minocqua. Rev. Brian Liermann will officiate. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the start of the services. Luncheon will be served at the church following the services.
