Shirley Ann (Hanser) Berge

Shirley Ann (Hanser) Berge was born the second of four children to James and Mollie Hanser of Lac du Flambeau on July 25, 1943. She passed away peacefully on August 16, 2025 at Seasons of Life in Woodruff.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and older brother, James R. Hanser. She will be dearly missed by her sister, Sue Hanser; brother, Bill (Joy) Hanser; daughter, Sherrie Kaufhold; grandsons, Casey (Courtney) Kaufhold and Tyler (Taylor) Kaufhold; great-grandchildren, Berkeley, Riggs, Judd and Ruthie; numerous nieces and nephews and close friends, Linda Rowe, Marie Drumel, Caryl Mattioli and (Caryl’s daughter), Carey Smith.

Shirley would like to thank everyone who provided love and care throughout her illness.

There will be a private family celebration of life in Lac du Flambeau following cremation. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating birdseed to the Seasons of Life Hospice House.
