Diana J. Swartout, 83, of Arbor Vitae, born March 21, 1942, passed away on July 24, 2025.
After a sudden illness, the angels gathered and escorted her to her Heavenly home as her husband and children held her hands at Marshfield Clinic, Weston.
Diana was born in Beloit, to Edward and Jean Rudolph (Murray). She graduated from Beloit Memorial High School, class of 1960.
Diana married the love of her life, Edward Swartout on September 10, 1960.
Diana cherished time with her family most of all, making memories filled with love and laughter. Playing card games and holiday games with family were her favorite, along with sitting around a campfire sharing stories. She always had a sweet greeting and a big smile for family and friends.
Most of her life, Diana lived in Beloit where she worked at the Beloit Daily News, JC Penney, Shady Tree Farm Market, and she was so proud to open Diana’s Dolls N Things, a quaint doll and gift shop.
The Northwoods always tugged at her heart. She was blessed to live her last 10 years in Arbor Vitae, watching the parade of deer walk through her yard as well as many other creatures. She took joy in seeing each one. She also made many great friends which gave her much happiness.
Travel was a passion for Diana. She enjoyed many family vacations and camping trips around the U.S., and took the trip of a lifetime to Okinawa, Japan. The local casinos were always a source of fun for her, especially on senior days.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her sister, Sharon Ann Rudolph; brother, Dennis Rudolph; stepfather, Lee Snow; infant grandson, Devyn Parker; and infant granddaughter Haili Parker.
Surviving in addition to her husband, Edward Swartout are her son, Mark Swartout (girlfriend Jennifer Koltis) of Thorp; daughter, Shelley Parker (Gregg) of Appleton; grandson, Travis Prince-Swartout of Suamico; grandsons, Kamil Parker and Viktor Parker of Appleton; sister, Linda Blum (Harold) of Friendship; brother, Steven Rudolph (Marie) of Fayetteville, N.C.; as well as many special family members, and dear friends.
This world will be a lesser place without her. We’ll love her and miss her for all eternity.
